Step One: Describe the Problem and Location
Tell the service whether the car cranks, whether dashboard lights appear, the battery age if known, and the vehicle make and model. Give exact location details such as building, parking level, and nearest landmark so the technician can arrive with suitable equipment.
Step Two: Test Before Replacing
A competent technician checks voltage with the engine off, performs a load test, and checks the charging system. This matters because an alternator fault can make a healthy-looking battery seem dead and can drain a replacement battery too.
